1. Howrah Bridge
Howrah bridge is the most famous place of Kolkata which was opened to the public in 1943. It was made by Braithwaite Burn Jessop Construction Company Limited. It was made of 2600 tons of steel and 18200 tons of high tensile. It is built over Hooghly River and is of 705 m length with 82 m height.
It is also known as Rabindra Setu. One lakh vehicle is running here on daily basis. If you are standing at Howrah station and want to reach Howrah Bridge you can take a bus, or a car on rent or can walk to the bridge.
2. Victoria Memorial

It is closed on Thursdays and the entry to it is free of cost. It is a congregation formed by Catholic religious Saints known as Sisters who selflessly devote their life to serve the poor and needy.
