Itinerary Details
Day 1: Arrival and local sightseeing
Your arrival in Leh, either by bus or flight, would be welcomed by our agents, who would guide you to the hotels that the travelers would be checked into. Due to the sudden altitude change, the body would take time to acclimatize to the changes; hence, we recommend a rest day to ensure that you are in good health before further adventure begins. Later in the evening, we would recommend that our visitors visit the nearby Leh Market, Leh Palace, known as Lachen Palkahr, or the Shanti Stupa, located near Changsp. As you would ascend the hilltop, the mesmerizing and alluring view of Leh village from the top will make you realize what the whole adventure has in store for you.
Your overnight stay would be in Leh.
Day 2: Leh to Sangam Sightseeing
After a delectable breakfast with specialty Leh dishes, the tourists can relax at the hotel for a while and plan for the adventure that lies ahead: an extensive drive along the Leh-Srinagar highway to witness some of the popular sightseeing spots along the way. Further, we plan to take our tourists to the Hall of Fame Museum built in the memory of the great valor showcased by our soldiers in the wars that ached the confines of the region. Further, we would visit the Magnetic Hill, Pathar Sahab Gurudwara, and Sangam, the confluence of the Zanskar and Indus Rivers. Later, if a if relaxing visit to the Spituk Monastery cannot help you shed off on the tiredness of the day, a further night stay at Leh would.
Day 3: Ride from Leh to Khardung La (5602m) to Hunder (4000m)
The day would start with a northward drive from Leh to Nubra Valley. Along the way, visitors could enjoy the sights of what are considered to be the most beautiful passes in the whole trans-Himalayan region. The unique landscape of the passes features an enigmatic mix of dunes, Picturesque green oases, and snowy peaks, along with beautiful monasteries and villages. Riding further, we would cross the Khardungla Pass at (18,380 feet. It is considered one of the highest all-weather motorable passes in the world.
The pass has gained profound social media traction over the years, thanks to the growing number of adventure riders who seek to go beyond the normal. Due to the high altitude of the location, it's possible that tourists might feel dizziness and shortness of breath. We would recommend that you stay there not more than 10-15 min. In case of an emergency, our team would have an oxygen tank for breathing difficulties
A quick rest here and plenty of chances to get your next social media post would help you replenish yourself while, further, we ascend past the North Pullu Check Post. The drive along the narrow roads and blind curves in the Nubra valley to reach Diskit in the afternoon would lead us to Diskit monastery and the most enticing Maitreya Buddha statue, sitting at the top of the valley as if trying to fix a watchful gaze upon the valley. A view from up here would help you relax for the adventure that lies ahead—a drive to the coldest Sand Dunes of Hunder Village in Nubra valley, where you can book camel rides.
Overnight stay at Hotel in Nubra.
Day 4: Nubra-Pangong Tso via Shayok
The day would start with a drive to the world-famous Pangong Lake, one of the most famous attractions in Ladakh. This drive along the Shayok Road would help people witness some of the most beautiful vistas of the whole valley. After a while, the tourists would be able to witness the profound and encompassing beauty of Pangong Lake. One of the most unique characteristics of the lake is that the west end of the lake, which is in Ladakh, is saline and supports no marine life except for a few micro-vegetations. While the eastern end in Tibet is fresh and tastes sweet, Once we reach Pangong, the tourists would be taken to the Tents or the homestays booked for them.
Overnight stay at Pangong Lake.
Day 5: Drive from Pangong Tso (4350m) to Leh
The sunrise at the lake has to be one of the most magical moments you will ever witness in your life. When the tender morning sunlight hits the illuminating surface of the lake, a new day erupts into life, and the tranquillity of the surroundings would get you hooked on Pangong. Through the nomadic land of Changthang, we would ascend to Changla Pass, the second-highest motorable pass, which, due to sudden weather changes, is seldom easy to pass through. A wide array of natural streams from the glaciers would give the ride an adventurous twist while descending to Changla Pass and riding towards Leh Ladakh.
The overnight stay would be in Leh.
Day 6: Departure from Leh
On Day 6, early in the morning, our drivers would pick up the travellers from their hotels and home stays to drop them off at Kushok Bakula Rinpoche Leh for their flight back home. The trip would officially end here, with memories to cherish for a lifetime.
