River Cruise Tourism in Karnataka Soon?  Would Cruise Tours along the Karnataka Rivers become a reality?

Cruise Hubs along the rivers of Karnataka seem like a distant dream, but what if we told you that this distant dream can become a reality very soon? The Tourism Department of Karnataka is getting ready to introduce a variety of river circuits for cruises along the city's national waterways.

These waterways are a part of 5 major rivers in the state. This network of waterways along the city would provide the locals with new business opportunities and prospects after being used to harbour cruise travel. The department has shared its ideas to constructively use the natural resources of the land to birth new travel business ideas for domestic as well as international travellers.

The goal is a part of the overall prospect of enhancing the city’s tourism portfolio with more dynamic, comfortable, and easy methods of exploration.  A vital aspect of the whole deal would be the construction of an international cruise port at Someshwara, nearby of Mangluru. The aid of such a port would definitely help tourism in the coastal region helping in the boost necessary for making this whole project a runaway success.

Further, the plans are to direct the cruise along the Kali, Sharavathi, Gurupura, Netravati, and Kabini Rivers. This would further help empower the local businesses of all the places the river passes from.

The cruise would not be the only singular addition to the whole prospect as the plans include various other activities aimed at promoting the city’s cultural and historical heritage. The inclusion of tourism along with that of tour around historical landmarks, would most certainly offer the tourists a diverse range of experiences. This new addition, along with a push in the tourism to historical landmarks, would definitely put the tourism of the city in the limelight.
