Best Ev, Petrol Bikes and Scooters for Delivery Jobs Prices, and Range Analysis

With the increasing scope of delivery-based businesses, the need for delivery patrons has increased multifold in the previous few years. Considering the freedom and ease of being involved in the business, a huge number of youngsters are opting for careers in the delivery business.  However, since the whole job would be based on riding around, every delivery partner wants to opt for a vehicle that offers the maximum range for the lowest upkeep and fuel prices or charging prices. To help all such prospective buyers, we have created this list of some of the most economical two-wheelers you can choose from when selecting a bike for delivery.

For the benefit of all those planning to travel for delivery purposes, here are a few of the best alternatives for everyday delivery tasks.

Komaki Ev Scooters

If you are wondering which bike or scooter to buy for your new delivery business, we recommend that you take a look at Komaki’s range of scooters. Quite a few of their scooters can be used for the delivery business. Here are a few models we think would be best for your use. We have chosen these based on their range and prices; we have not chosen any scooter that costs anywhere north of 1,50,000.

Komaki XGT Cat 4.0

A bike made purposefully for the pursuit of delivery, the vehicle has been designed with practical use in mind; hence, it has a lot of space where cargo can be mounted or hoisted. If you plan to try out the delivery business in your local area with food delivery applications, this could be a good fit for your needs. The vehicle comes with a 72v,31 AH  Battery that, as per the company, the bike provides a range of about 95 to 100 km after a full charge, which takes about 4 to 5 hours. These are not tested figures but the ones that Komaki promises. This could be one of the best vehicles if you plan to deliver bread and bakery products to nearby shops and other places. It is not a vehicle we would recommend to be ridden on the highway. Its prices start at 74,000 and go upto 1,40,000 based on the battery size and other changes.

Komaki X-One

Komaki X-One is more like your usual scooter, but since it comes at a very affordable price, it is one of the best choices for a delivery person. The scooter starts at 35,999, as advertised on Komaki’s official website, provides a range of about 55 km,  the lowest spec model comes with a Graphene Battery. You can also opt for a better model with a 70km+ range only for 45.000 km; this vehicle has a lipo4 battery with 1.5KW capacity.  Another model in the same range, Komaki x one Prime, has a Lipo 4 2.2 KW battery battery and a range of 150km + for the price of 59,999. Komaki has a range of scooters with minimal changes between them; check them all before buying.

A few other mentions from the Komaki range would be Xgt X4, which offer different ranges and are priced at various price points.

Zypp Electric

Rather than selling you a product, Zypp sells you a membership to their business and allows you to rent vehicles on easy terms with various added benefits. They Provide you with Rentals to start your delivery business or job with vehicles that offer a range of about 120 km, and you can drive them about quickly without any issues or problems. Zypp rentals give you the opportunity to grow according to your own schedule and give you insurance loans and monthly earnings.

Beyond that, Zypp rentals also provide accidental covers, instant cash claims, minimum documentation, and a child education cover claim of up to 5k. So, if you have been thinking of starting your delivery career but don’t want to invest in buying a vehicle, we recommend that you opt for a Zypp partnership.

Bajaj Freedom 125

If you have been seeking to start your career and want to invest in a new bike for that, this could be one of the best options. A single-cylinder, four-stroke air-cooled Bajaj Freedom 125 cc bike which produces about 9.5 ps of power @8000 RPM and a max torque figure of about 9.7Nm @5000 RPM. The bike has a CNG capacity of 2 kg. Torque figures with CNG would be around 9.7nm @5000 rpm, and top speed would reduce to 90.5 km/h. So, according to the shared figures, the bike can run about 200km on CNG and about 130 km on Petrol. 200 km on two kilos worth of CNG, so about 100 kms on a single kilo of CNG.

Bjaj Freedom 125 for Delivery Jobs

The charges of getting the bike to do 100 km on a single kilo of CNG would vary but in our city is around 87.57. A hundred km in 87.57 is a good deal, provided the bike actually manages to do 100 km on a single kilo of CNG. These are figures provided by the company under ARAI conditions; hence, the real figures will only be out once the vehicle is in the market. While the bike is a little expensive than a few of the other products in the range it would allow you to easily deliver and help you travel beyond the city lines with ease as well. The prices of Freedom 125 start from 1,09,997.

Petrol Powered Bikes for the Budget-Conscious

Here are a few bikes that you should consider while trying to step into the delivery business: Hero HF 100 priced at 59,018; TVS Sport at 59,431; Bjaj Platina at 68,685; and the Hero Splendour + priced at 74,491. We would recommend that you try them all and choose one that suits your budget and riding range needs the best.  Most of these bikes are powered by a 100cc fuel-injected engine, which helps them produce anywhere about 8ps of power and around 8 to 9 Nm torque around 8000 rpm. These are some of the best alternatives if you seek a budget-oriented petrol-powered bike.

Conclusion

If you have a restrictive budget and don’t want to go in for the hassles of ownership, then the ZYPP membership is better. Still, if you want to start on your own and have a budget, we recommend that you go with either Komaki or the petrol-powered counterparts. The CNG Freedom 125 is a new addition to the market. Hence, we recommend waiting until the first batch of the bike is delivered to prospective buyers so that any issues or problems can be identified; after that, when Bajaj revises production, that bike could also be a possible option for all delivery persons.
